Community Times: Why December is a tricky month?
Hello folks!
Recently, I had a long conversation with one of our dear members where we spoke about how December has got a “complicated” tag attached to it. Although, Lot of things are happening this month, however, nothing substantial is happening.
Three things that December is a big NO-NO for:
Three things that December is a big NO-NO for:
A big No No!
❌ Not to be experimental & come up with any new event or program as we won’t be able to get any concrete inference as most of us are too occupied in finishing all kinds of pending tasks of the year. Plus, mentally we are already enjoying celebrations & parties in our mind! (I got what you thinking😉)
❌ No withholding grudges as well as gifts 😃
❌ Not to work too much, it is that time of the year! 🎉🎊
Three things that December is a big YES:
✔ To Have a Yearly flashback of everything that worked & didn’t work 👀 💕 Being thankful for both, things that worked out & things that didn’t work. It takes sun & rain both together to form a rainbow 🌈
✔ To Re-Evaluate 👀👀
Re consider community values & Goals
Reframing Community Guidelines
Curate newer strategies adhering to the new goals & values
✔ Indulge in some “non-community” activity & make time for yourself 💖
🙌This Month’s Community call highlight with Hamlet who is building a community for hoteliers and travelers named “mytravaly”
Community is not a space to create “swag”. It’s not a sales/marketing platform. It’s a joint effort where we come together to learn & educate ourselves. I see community as a Common point of contact or junction point where each department can get a lot of said & unsaid feedbacks coming from the users/members.
He Further added "Give yourself 1001 days to survive. If you survive this much time, it will put you in a good place of experience & knowledge to then take things to the next level. This holds true whether you’re an entrepreneur or a community enthusiast.
